Explore and experiment with emerging technologies in media arts in combination with traditional practices. In Art + Technology, students investigate four central topics from various vantage points—the network, multimedia, interactivity, and generative practices. From galleries to stadiums, practitioners design for virtual environments and digitally interactive platforms to engage participating audiences.

As an Art + Technology Major, you will:
- Learn how to code, develop applications, design websites, and more in new and inventive ways.
- Gain foundational skills in a variety of creative media, including the internet and screen-based installations.
- Explore the role of interactivity in digital programs.

Class Highlights
This Bachelor of Fine Arts program emphasizes a collaborative process of working on teams with students from all MCAD majors. Required classes include:

- Coding Concepts
- Sound
*New Web and Multimedia Environments major declarations for enrolled students are on hold for the 2023-24 academic year while the curriculum is being revised. Web and Multimedia Environments courses will continue to be offered during this transition. Check back for updates and additional information for fall 2024.
